Kathy Kuo Home is seeking a Digital Content Creator who is obsessed with the home furnishings space and understands how to create stills, videos, cut reels, and Tik Tok’s while consistently evolving the brand presence in the interior design, home furnishings world via technology, design, and content creation. You understand the importance of being a thought leader in this space, staying elevated, curated and focused on brand identity. You come to meetings with new initiatives whether it be photography, video, or other out of the box brand ideas, and aren't afraid to challenge the norm. You thrive in a start-up style environment, yet are humble enough to own tough feedback and uplevel your own work consistently.



Responsibilities

  • Shoot, and edit photo and video content featuring Kathy Kuo Home products, behind-the-scenes moments, and NYC-based interior design projects with direction from Social Media Manager.

  • Develop on-brand content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest that inspires and engages our audience.

  • Conceptualize creative ideas that highlight seasonal trends, product launches, and lifestyle themes.

  • Capture high-quality visuals of our products and styled spaces in studio settings, client homes, and NYC showrooms.

  • Film “how-to” videos, design tips, and reels featuring Kathy Kuo Home’s founder, team, and products.

  • Set up and operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to ensure polished content.

  • Edit videos for short-form (Reels, TikTok) and long-form (YouTube) platforms, incorporating captions, transitions, and music to enhance storytelling.

  • Retouch and enhance photos for use on social media and the Kathy Kuo Home website.

  • Ensure all content aligns with Kathy Kuo Home’s sophisticated, elegant, and approachable brand aesthetic.

  • Maintain a consistent visual style that resonates with luxury home design and decor enthusiasts.

  • Work closely with the Social Media Manager and creative teams to align content strategies with business goals.

  • Collaborate with stylists and designers to create cohesive visual narratives.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in creating and editing visual content for social media and marketing purposes.

  • Strong skills in video editing and photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom).

  • Experience with lifestyle, product, or interior design photography and videography is a plus.

  • An eye for design, aesthetics, and composition—familiarity with luxury or home decor brands is a bonus.

  • Ability to independently manage shoots, from planning to post-production.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Access to own camera and editing equipment preferred
